About The Square

The experience at The Square balances rustic charm with a subtle modern flair, leaving an impression beyond just the meal. The ambience, informed by natural light filtering through large windows and understated decor, invites casual conversations rather than hurried dining. While photos shared online capture much of this inviting space, the atmosphere feels even more nuanced in person. Occasional hums of kitchen activity underscore a well-coordinated team, contributing to the overall rhythm of the visit. Small shortcomings in pacing between courses occasionally interrupt the flow, though not detracting significantly from the evening.

Among the highlights of this dining spot is the diverse menu, where one can find both traditional Greek influences and contemporary touches. Dishes frequently praised in various reviews merge fresh, local ingredients with inventive presentations, which hints at thoughtful culinary experimentation. Certain signature plates echo classic flavors, while others aim for bolder impressions, sometimes succeeding more than others. The drink options complement the food thoughtfully, though the wine list leans heavily on familiar labels, which might disappoint seekers of rare finds. Value for money reflects the quality and setting, with prices aligning closely to expectations for a regional restaurant with such intent.

Encounters with the staff often enrich the meal, showcasing a blend of professionalism and friendly attentiveness. The Square restaurant seems to prioritize a relaxed dining tempo, allowing guests to savor moments without pressure, though at times the attentiveness can wane when the venue grows busier. Glimpses from various customer reviews suggest consistency in experience, especially regarding the kitchen's ability to maintain flavor and presentation standards. For those exploring Kallirachi 640 10 or seeking a quiet spot with a distinctive menu, The Square certainly offers a nuanced alternative that is both worth exploring and occasionally challenging in equal measure.

Authentic Greek taverna, far from the more crowded and touristic ones on the beaches around the island or more (already) popular villages like Theologist. I think this is one of the few unspoilt (by tourism) places left on the island. Not crowded, almost no cars thanks to narrow streets, many locals. The food...is geek food. 10/10. The service? If you are not in a hurry, you will love it. If you are in a hurry than you shouldn't have come to Greece in the first place. I love you guys! Prices? Affordable, normal. You don't spend a fortune to eat a dinner. Maybe I shouldn't have wrote this review. Now hordes of people shall come...and all the magic will be lost. 4 September 2025

Very very nice place where you can eat like a local greek (because is full of them and very few tourists). We drank ouzo and a local wine (retsina). If we know this place is so good we would have come earlier. One of the best baclava. Great atmosphere with the people
